Benz Mining is a Toronto based, Quebec focused gold exploration company. Our key objective is the expansion of a high-grade gold resource at the site of the former producing Eastmain Mine in Quebec. Our 8,000 ha property package is located in the Upper Eastmain River greenstone belt in the James Bay area, approximately 320km North East of Chibougamau.
From 1994 to 1995 the Eastmain mine was operated as an underground mine, producing over 40,000oz at an average grade of 10.58 g/t Au until mining ceased in November 1995. The new Benz Mining management team believe that the application of new exploration techniques, geological interpretations and exploration capital will facilitate a rapid growth in the existing resource at Eastmain. Our goal is to ultimately establish a multi-million ounce, high grade gold deposit.
