Miloje Vicentijevic, President, CEO, and Director
Miloje is Mining Engineer with over 25 years of engineering and operations experience. He held positions of the technical director of Mining for Worley Parsons Canada and the mining division manager for Tetra Tech Wardrop Engineering, where he was responsible for business development, organizational, operational, and technical areas; and technical services manager for Sherritt International Luscar’s mine operation in Alberta. He received his BSc degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia , and his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, and is a registered professional engineer in BC. Miloje acts as a Qualified Person for mine planning and design, financial analysis, and overall NI 43-101 technical report for Benz.
Ron Hall, B.Sc. Chairman & Director
Ron Hall has over 35 years professional experience in the management, operation, evaluation and design of global mining projects. A graduate from Cardiff University in Wales, Ron has lived and worked in the UK, South Africa, Botswana, Canada, Australia and China and in addition has been involved in business and mining opportunities in India, Russia, North America, Chile, Brazil and Mexico. He was recently appointed as a Non – Executive director on the board of Chinalco Mining International (a subsidiary of the Chinese State Owned Enterprise Chinalco) engaged in the development of the Torromocho copper project in Peru. Ron is also President of Global Mineral Research Ltd., a Vancouver based metallurgical testwork laboratory.
Carlos Escribano, CFO and Director
Carlos is a Chartered Professional Accountant and graduate of the University of British Columbia. He has held several senior level accounting and financial reporting positions with producing and development stage publicly-listed companies in the mining industry. In his previous role, Carlos served as CFO and VP Finance for a resource company publicly listed in Canada and the USA. His experience includes financial and strategic management, debt and equity financing, regulatory compliance, business development and acquisition analysis, treasury and budgeting.
Michael B. Gareau, VP Geology & Exploration
Michael has a BSc. (Hon.) in geology with 40 years international mining industry experience including regional and project exploration, mine site geology and exploration, evaluation, and acquisition of early to advanced projects; resource estimation and feasibility studies. Commodities range includes gold, silver, copper, molybdenum, base metals and some strategic metals. Worked 15 years with Placer Dome in technical and management positions, as VP Exploration for Black Hawk Mining, Glencairn Gold & Wega Mining, and as a consultant over the past 7 years.
Gordon Bub, Director
Graduate Mining Engineer with 40 years’ industry experience, including 20 years in investment banking. Director of Glencairn Gold Corporation and Western Canadian Coal Corporation. Previously Chairman and CEO of Breakwater Resources Ltd., Chairman of Black Hawk Mining Inc. and Executive Vice-President, Merchant Banking, at Dynamic Capital Inc. Formerly a mining analyst, director of research and in corporate finance for Toronto based investment firms.
H. Leo King, Member of the Advisory Board to the Board of Directors
Mr. H. Leo King, a Professional Geologist, has over 50 years of experience in minerals exploration and mining geology, including 20 years in senior executive positions for several mineral resource companies. He has been directly involved in exploration and evaluation work on the Mel Property since 1976 and has authored a number of geological reports. He remains the most knowledgeable individual on all geological matters pertaining to the Mel Property.
Mr. King was president and director of International Barytex Resources Ltd. and Kobex Resources Ltd. until 2009 when the two companies amalgamated. He is currently President and a director of Pacific Imperial Mines Inc., a junior resource company. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, a Life Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada. Mr. King is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with Bachelor and Master of Arts Degree in Geology.
